circFUT10 Details

Basic Information
circRNA    circFUT10
Alias    -
circBase ID    -
Host gene    FUT10
Species    bos taurus
Peptide    -
Sequence  -

Expression
Description  The tissue expression assay showed that the expression of circFUT10 was high in longissimus muscle, and to be much higher (7.43-fold) at the embryonic stage compared with the adult stage, suggesting a potential role in muscle development. We found that circFUT10 was expressed predominantly in muscle and weakly expressed in other tissues.
Method    RNA-seq, qRT-PCR
Sample    longissimus muscle

Function
Description  circFUT10 induced bovine primary myoblasts differentiation and increased the expression of MyoD, MyoG, and MyhC in mRNA and protein levels. circFUT10 increased the number of myoblasts in the G0/G1 phase of the cell cycle, and decreased the proportion of cells in the S-phase. circFUT10 inhibited the proliferation of myoblasts and promoted them apoptosis.
Method    gain of function
in vitro    bovine primary myoblasts

Interaction
Target    miR-133a
Type    circRNA-miRNA
Sample    bovine primary myoblasts
Experiment    luciferase report assay
Description    circFUT10, by binding miR-133a, acts as a decoy to relieve miRNA inhibiting effect on SRF.
