circANRIL Details

Basic Information
circRNA    circANRIL
Alias    -
circBase ID    -
Host gene    ANRIL
Species    homo sapiens
Peptide    -
Sequence  -

Expression
Description  CircANRIL was expressed in both healthy and diseased human vascular tissues, as well as smooth muscle cells (SMC) and monocyte/macrophages.
Method    qRT-PCR, FISH
Sample    Liver, vein, plaques, aneurysms, HEK-293, MonoMac, primary arterial SMC and FB, EC, PBMC

Function
Description  circANRIL confers atheroprotection by controlling ribosomal RNA (rRNA) maturation and modulating pathways of atherogenesis.
Method    loss of function, gain of function
in vitro    HEK293
in vivo    -

Interaction
Target    PES1 and NOP14
Type    circRNA-protein
Sample    HEK-293
Experiment    RNA pull-down, RIP
Description    Strongest binding was determined for nucleolar protein 14 (NOP14), which is involved in the formation of the nucleolar 40S ribosomal subunit24, and for pescadillo zebrafish homologue 1 (PES1), which is a component of the PES1-BOP1-WDR12 (PeBoW) complex. qPCR analysis after RIP revealed the interaction of circANRIL RNA with the PeBoW complex members PES1 and NOP14, where circANRIL binding to PES1 was the strongest interaction tested.
